● The structure of perfluoroether FFKM is composed of main chain part: TFE (tetrafluoroethylene), branch part: PMVE (perfluoromethyl vinyl ether) and bridging part.
● Both TFE and PMVE copolymers with a molar ratio of 25%~40% are elastomers, because they do not contain common hydrogen and other elements except C, F and 0 elements, and PMVE provides trifluoromethoxy linked to the main chain The base side chain is called perfluoroether rubber.
● The vulcanized rubber of perfluoroether rubber vulcanized by an appropriate vulcanization system has the same strong oxidant resistance, high temperature resistance and chemical resistance as Teflon plastic, and also has the elasticity of rubber.

Characteristics of perfluoroethers
● It has elasticity and thermal stability and chemical stability of PTFE.
● The long-term working temperature is -39~288 degrees Celsius, and the short-term can reach 315 degrees Celsius. It still has a certain degree of plasticity below the embrittlement temperature, hard but not brittle, and can be bent.
● Stable to all chemicals except swelling in fluorinated solvents.
Since perfluoroether FFKM does not contain hydrogen, the carbon-fluorine bond in it is the strongest single bond in organic chemistry (C-F bond energy is as high as 544kJ/mol), which makes perfluoroether rubber have excellent chemical resistance and resistance to strong oxidants performance and high temperature resistance.
Because ordinary fluororubber still has carbon-hydrogen bonds on its carbon chain (C-H bond energy 414kJ/mol), its binding force is worse than that of carbon-fluorine bonds, so the heat resistance and chemical resistance of ordinary fluororubber are worse than perfluoroether rubber.
